After receiving her M.A. in English Literature, Megan acquired and edited dozens of bestselling and award-winning books as an editor at Simon and Schuster’s Touchstone and Emily Bestler Books imprints. In 2017, she joined FX Networks as their first literary executive and rose to Vice President of Development. In 2023, she joined independent studio and production company Media Res (Pachinko, The Morning Show), and since 2025, has been Senior Development Executive for Television at Mark Johnson’s Gran Via Productions (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Holdovers).

Her projects at FX included multiple award nominees including The Patient, Fleishman is in Trouble, Kindred, and Pistol for Star/Disney+, among others across the drama, limited series, and comedy slates. She also developed the 2023 Oscar-nominated animated short My Year of Dicks. In 2022, she was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen 35 under 35 list of rising executives, and has been called a “major player behind Hollywood’s book adaptation boom” by the LA Times.

A graduate of Northern Arizona University and The Ohio State University, her writing has been featured on Elle.com, Refinery29, BuzzFeed, LitHub, NPR/WNYC, and FastCompany. She has scouted and provided consulting services for companies such as HarperCollins France, Record (Brazil), Tuttle-Mori Agency (Japan), EYA (S. Korea), Keter (Israel), and dtv (Germany), among others. She published her first picture book biography in 2020.
